LeBronto trending as Cleveland's James completes two-game Toronto takeover

NBA playoffs wrap 2018: Celtics comeback sinks 76ers

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers handed the Toronto Raptors a devastating, 128-110 win in Game 2 of the semifinals on Thursday. Toronto won a team-record 59 games and finished as the top-seeded team in the Eastern Conference this season, but was easily shoved one step closer to a third straight postseason exit at the hands of James and the Cavs.

The Raptors shot 60 percent in the first half and had a two-point lead.

Green had made seven 3-pointers in eight games this postseason.

Tuesday night's action got underway with Game 2 between the Cavaliers and Raptors - or, "The LeBron James Show", as everyone who watched the game will tell you. The Toronto Raptors are allowing 38 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 41 rebounds per game.

Cleveland trailed by two at halftime but James tallied 15 points during a 37-point third quarter as the Cavaliers built a 98-87 advantage.

It was something the Cavaliers continued to exploit early and often, whether it was Kyle Lowry or DeMar DeRozan.

"These two games are over", James said following his 43-point tour de force in Game 2. Over a 16-minute stretch spanning the second and third quarters Boston out-scored Philadelphia 50-20 to seize the lead. The Cavaliers came out swinging in the third and didn't stop until both coaches emptied their benches with 2:34 to play. He finished with 12 minutes, six rebounds, one assist and was 0-for-5 from the field. The second half was a back and forth affair, and the Sixers had a five-point lead with under six minutes left in the fourth.

He added eight rebounds, narrowly missing his second straight triple-double, and connected on 19 of 28 attempts in a performance so dominant that the beleaguered Raptors' city was being called "LeBronto" by the time the night was over. I know it's amusing to say, but I've had a lot of great looks and really uncharacteristic misses for me. Beaten. We may not have another game in the Air Canada Centre this season. "I didn't play good enough to help my team".

If the Raptors want to come back in this series, they simply can not allow Love to score 31 points to support James. "Awesome shots and wonderful game". I don't know what the history of down 0-2 is, but one thing I do know is (Thursday) wasn't us, how we normally play for longer periods of time. For the Raptors, a loss in this series could finally mean massive changes.

But if the Cleveland side want to win a second National Basketball Association championship in three years, James claims more players will have to be as "complete" as they can be to deliver similar performances going forward.

"When he went over his right shoulder and then went over his left shoulder, he said when he got the mismatch, he was gonna do that", Love said. "I really thought OG (Anunoby) played him as tough as you possibly could, and the couple times we did double-team him, he's such a great passer that you're going to give up a three versus 13 non-paint twos".

Cleveland coach Tyrone Lue suggested his team's momentum started with the Game 7 win last Sunday over IN - a statement bounce-back victory after a 34-point loss IN Game 6.

"Those type of things happen and you just have to find ways to fight through it, get over the hump and affect the game in different ways". We will not put our guard down.
