Samsung Galaxy J6 with Infinity Display Launch on May 21: Features, Specifications

The upcoming smartphone will flaunt a 5.6-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) Infinity Display, an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC and will come with a dual-SIM option.

Earlier specifications of the Galaxy J6 were leaked online by SamMobile along with specifications of another smartphone called Galaxy J4.

South Korean tech giant Samsung has confirmed that it will launch the Samsung Galaxy J6 with Infinity Display in India on May 21. Yes, the Galaxy J6 will go on sale in India right from the next day of its launch.

A tweet posted from Samsung India's official Twitter handle announced that the J6 will be up on sale starting May 22. "It's coming to take you #ToInfinityAndMore".

The latest leak confirms that the Galaxy J6 is going to be equipped with an Infinity Display, just like the Galaxy A6+. It will look to capture the market share once again with the feature-rich Galaxy J6 which has the iconic design language of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S9 series.

That said, from what we can see in the video shared by Samsung, the Galaxy J6 has very tiny bezels at its left and right side, with the top and bottom bezels being comparatively larger.

Camera-wise, the phone may sport a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera with an LED flash. Also, the smartphone is set to be a budget device from Samsung with its price under Rs 15,000. It comes in two memory configurations - 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.

Samsung's European help forum responded by saying, "Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update".

Budget Samsung features such as S bike mode and Ultra Data Savings are also likely to make a comeback.
