Barr made headlines after she tweeted in May that Jarrett, who is African-American and was born in Iran, was as though the "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby".
The entire interview was a lot of rambling, with spots of Barr getting defensive, going off on tangents about Iran, and admitting that when she composed the tweet, she was on Ambien and drinking.
"I'm a Republican on 'The View, ' and every day I come one here and tell people that Trump supporters and Republicans are [a] nuisance, and it's not just one blanket thing", McCain said.
Using Jewish concepts, long-time acquaintance of Roseanne Barr, Shmuley Boteach yet again showed he is her most eloquent defender, bar none. "That's what was in my head".
Barr told Hannity was "shocked" at the backlash, and claimed she didn't realize that Jarrett was black ― a point she also made in a bonkers video shared online last week.
Addressing Jarrett directly, Barr said on Thursday: "I'm sorry you feel harmed and hurt because I never meant that". "It's hard for me to come back - it's not even about forgiveness for me - I don't want her to be associated with the Republican party in any way".
'Well, I kind of think I am, ' Barr said.
She added, "Plus, I'd tell her she needs to get a new haircut". Barr joked. "No, I'm kidding".
More news: Pakistan election results delayed as Khan leads, opponents cry foulABC fired Barr in late May for the Jarrett tweet.
Barr's tweet caused a storm of outrage and the ABC network swiftly canceled the revival of her top-rated comedy series "Roseanne" about a working-class American family in the era of President Donald Trump. "We just have a different opinion".
In Roseanne Barr's first TV interview since her ABC sitcom was canceled for a racist tweet, the comedian apologized for her "ill-worded" post and insisted she isn't a bigot.
Barr also revealed that when it comes to Twitter, "My kids took it away from me forever". I was so sad that people thought [the tweet] was racist.
Barr repeatedly said Thursday that her tweet was meant to address U.S.
'I think people in America are very forgiving, and I think if you put 30 years of what I've accomplished. and you put it on a scale. "And because of that fact, I took a vow to my religion to my god that I would always fight extremism on either side, right or left".
Later in the live podcast she claimed that her axing off the sitcom was a long time coming and that ABC wanted her off the show for some time.
