Storms, heavy rain continue Tuesday

WEATHER
More triple digit heat to kick off the week

More showers and thunderstorms are expected for many throughout the rest of the day.

Mostly cloudy and humid with showers and a thunderstorm; watch for flooding. While severe weather is not expected, very heavy rain will be likely in thunderstorms. But a cold front coming through tonight finally breaks the pattern, allowing us to salvage the end of the workweek with mostly dry days tomorrow and Friday. Locally heavy downpours continue to be a threat, with flooding concerns in place for poor drainage areas, low lying urban areas, and smaller creeks and streams. The showers will be on and off as the low spins to the west of Ohio. High temperatures were in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

High humidity continues to linger, making it the third muggy start this week. Keep in mind this is not gospel, but shows the potential for these SCATTERED, hit or miss storms around the area.

More soggy weather is on the horizon for Staten Island.

Wednesday looks to be a warm and somewhat bright day around Metro Detroit, with highs in the low to mid 80s and a nice mix of sun and clouds.

Sunday, the pick of the weekend (and maybe even of the entire 7-day), will be the relief that we've been searching for. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s with light winds. Please be as descriptive as possible and also include the location (town/city) where the photo or video was taken.
