Facebook, Twitter fall as they face U.S. Congress

Twitter's chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde released a statement regarding the Wall Street Journal report, saying "Any suggestion that Jack made or overruled any of these decisions is completely and totally false". The company sought to send its senior vice-president for global affairs, Kent Walker, but was rebuffed. Both hearings will also give lawmakers their latest chance to show their own mastery of the technological material and brush off some criticism that followed the April hearing with Zuckerberg in which some Senators didn't seem to understand some basics about the social network.
