I Have 100 Photos Of Mueller, Comey ‘Hugging And Kissing’

Giuliani's estranged wife writing tell-all book report

Giuliani, whom Trump hired in April amid a change in the president's legal representation in the special counsel probe, said that his team was preparing a lengthy report which they planned to release at the same time as Mueller's to "refute its expected findings".

Sources familiar with the matter told The New York Times Mueller offered the option to President Trump's lawyers in a letter sent on Friday.

But the sources also said the letter's tone and lack of an explicit demand for written responses on obstruction had some Trump allies giddy because they reasoned the scope of a possible interview will now be far more limited than initially expected.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel's office, declined to comment Tuesday.

Trump made the comment as he detailed the conflicts of interests he claims are at play in Mueller's probe into alleged collusion between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

As the Post notes, "Mueller's decision to accept at least some written responses represents a concession to Trump's legal team, which since December has resisted the special counsel's efforts to interview the president".

The White House Counsel's Office, led by attorney Emmet Flood, has been girding to fight a subpoena for Trump's testimony under oath. "Clyde.'" He ran through some of the scandals, then circled back to how "absurd" it is Trump gets to pick any nominee, "let alone a lifelong partisan Republican like Brett Kavanaugh". Trump has said there was no collusion and has called the Mueller probe a "witch hunt".

Giuliani's startling admission was tucked inside an expansive New Yorker profile of the former New York City mayor and Trump attorney, published online Monday.

Trump: "There were, I mean tremendous conflicts here, you know the conflicts, you've heard the conflicts".

The president made the freaky claims during a wide-ranging interview with the conservative Daily Caller website, whose correspondent asked Trump whether Mueller was interfering in the midterm elections by not ending his Russian Federation probe by an artificial September 1 deadline.

And for another, Trump claimed, without any proof that Comey and Mueller are "best friends" and even more, of the "hugging and kissing" variety.
