Nintendo Switch cloud save data disappears if you cancel subscription

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate adds Isabelle

While not a first party Nintendo title, Game Freak of Pokémon fame announced their next game will be TOWN.

Nintendo says the new controllers are created to offer a more authentic experience when playing the library of NES titles that will be available to subscribers of its new online service. However they won't be available to everyone and they won't work in all games. Nintendo's first entry into the land of paid online gaming is launching September 18th, with a few payment options. With a top-tier in-house title like Smash Bros coming up, it would not surprise me at all to find that it launches with app functionality. In addition to this, those NES games can only be played offline for up to seven days, before requiring an online checkup to allow you to keep playing so long as you have an active membership. U Deluxe is set for release on January 11, 2019. That, combined with voice chat being relegated to the phone app still, leaves the service looking rather tepid. They look just like the ones that shipped with the NES, and can actually be attached to the Switch just like Joy-Cons to charge. If you eventually cancel the $20/year subscription, Nintendo is "unable to guarantee that cloud save data will be retained after an extended period of time from when your membership is ended". NES Games: Play dozens of classic NES games on Switch, some with added multiplayer support. Nintendo is bringing incredible first parties to the Nintendo Switch. 3 and Donkey Kong.

The Switch version of the game is being developed by Panic Button, which previously brought games such as DOOM and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus over to the system in the past year.

Nintendo also revealed that the series' mascot, Isabelle, will be headed to Super Smash Bros. This series of levels is far more challenging than the levels featured in the original game. This includes games that have received a score of 8 or higher on GameSpot since the console's release, as well as reviews for new games and updates to reviews of older games that were ported to Switch.
