British PM May defends Brexit plan after dancing onto stage

Echoing her famed moves in Cape Town this summer, she grooved onto the stage to ABBA's "Dancing Queen" as her front bench laughed and applauded.

To rapturous applause at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham, England, she twirled somewhat awkwardly into the auditorium - a self-deprecatory reference to dance moves she displayed on a recent visit to Africa.

She said: "Our mission as Conservatives must be to show them we can build an economy that does".

May shuffled on stage to give her keynote conference speech, seemingly giving a self-referential nod to the backlash she's received for her dancing with some equally awful moves and a tongue-in-cheek choice of song. "If we don't, if we all go off in different directions in pursuit of our own visions of the ideal Brexit, we risk ending up with no Brexit at all", she said.

Theresa May today danced onto the stage to deliver her make or break speech in a bid to unite Britain and her bitterly divided party.

The Prime Minister had been preparing to address her party and about her Brexit plans but couldn't resist having a dance to the disco floor-filler while making her way to the stage.

Her performance before her conference speech had a mixed reaction.
