George Conway Suggests New Donald Trump Tweet May Break The Law

Trump praises witness who refuses to testify against him

The rebuke came after Trump said on Twitter his pal Roger Stone has "guts" for not wanting to testify against him. "I'd have to make things up and I'm not going to do that", Stone said.

The top Democrat on the House intelligence committee says former Trump adviser Roger Stone's testimony should be provided to special counsel Robert Mueller "for consideration of whether perjury charges are warranted".

Trump said Michael Cohen, who served as his longtime personal attorney, should receive "a full and complete sentence" in prison.

But Cohen, once among the president's most loyal allies, turned on Trump after pleading guilty and provided prosecutors with detailed accounts of his possible wrongdoing. Trump added that Cohen "makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself".

Asked whether he would expect a pardon from the president if indicted by Mueller, Stone replied, "I've had no discussion regarding a pardon".

It was revealed last week that Trump spoke more extensively during the presidential election with Cohen about the proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow than Cohen admitted to Congress previous year, which Cohen said while pleading guilty Thursday in federal court to a charge from Mueller's office.

Cohen is cooperating into Mueller's probe into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government and has filed a plea agreement to ensure a shortened sentence.

President Trump's son Eric put out a tweet Monday night accusing George Conway of "utter disrespect" toward his wife, White House aide Kellyanne Conway, apparently because of Conway's public comments criticizing the administration. It referenced sections of the federal criminal code dealing with witness tampering, among other things, reports CNBC. In court in August, he told a judge that he violated campaign-finance laws at the president's direction and, on Thursday, said he lied to Congress to remain consistent with Trump's messaging on the campaign trail.
