Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray, beat 93 contestants from around the world to take the Miss Universe crown in Thailand Sunday night.

This year, Miss Universe will be held in Bangkok.

In a second video she also shared on her Instagram Stories, she added: 'Thank you.

Same goes for Gerard Quizon, who sketched an animated version of Gray reflecting her first walk as Miss Universe and subtly showing the Philippine flag to emphasize "Pinoy pride". I am OK, but I just wanted to let you know what I am doing.

"My hope is for tomorrow to be able to live in a world of equality for everyone, simply for us all to understand that we are human and we must make all our lives easier together", she said.

"I'm open to it because individually, I see beauty queens more than a physical aspect", she said on the local show "The Bottomline". And she has a goal.

Catriona Gray has proven that she's very hands-on with her Miss Universe outfits as she immersed herself in different local cultures and worked closely with designers. "If they give me the crown, it would show trans women are just as much women as cis women". "She is that voice for the transgender community".

Only afterwards did she get more medical attention backstage.
