Ocasio-Cortez campaign fined for lapse in worker's compensation coverage

Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee Greg Walden and ranking member Frank Pallone speak during the markup of the the American Health Care Act the Republican replacement to Obamacare on Capitol Hill in Washington

Lieberman went on Fox Business of all networks to tell host Neil Cavuto that he hopes she's not the future of the Democratic Party. "My life, and just the campaign's life, changed overnight", she said during an interview.

And she is expected to loudly advocate for Democratic primary campaigns against some of the middle-of-the-road members of her own party in Congress. "She's controversial, but if you look at the majority of new Democrats in the House, they tend to be, I say, center-left, if they are not left-left", he added. "And that is because they had to be center-left to win some of those competitive swing districts that they took from Republicans", Lieberman said. "We just don't need sniping in our Democratic Caucus".

Last year, Ocasio-Cortez was also mocked after lamenting the shuttering of a coffee shop in NY, even though it closed its doors thanks to the wage hike in the state - a policy that she supports.

Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff hit back at the Democrats quoted in the Politico piece, comparing them to King George III during the American Revolution, and approvingly quote-tweeting a tweet comparing them to people who opposed civil rights demonstrations in the 1960s.

Meanwhile, Politico ran an article today claiming "Exasperated Democrats try to rein in Ocasio-Cortez", for which AOC had yet another ideal response, not just shutting down the sentiment but also solidifying her nerd cred for the foreseeable future. "The rents are very high and now the minimum wage is going up and we have a huge number of employees", Charles Milite told the New York Post last month.

Some of the lawmakers want her to help unite Democrats and focus her attacks on the Republicans, while others warn she has to stop treating her own party as the enemy, the website noted.

Twitter, with its younger-than-1000-years-old demographic, doubled over with laughter at Ocasio-Cortez's clapback at the former Senator.
