Its Show Time: Apple’s Next Event To Take Place On 25 March

'It's show time': Apple confirms launch event on March 25

The report also claims that Apple will also show off its new credit card service on-stage with finance industry journalists having been invited to attend the event.

Apple announced Monday a media event for Monday, March 25 to divulge details of its new subscription offerings including a video streaming service.

Apple acquired the digital magazine app Texture past year, which enables you to read a huge number of publications for a single monthly fee, a bit like a music streaming service.

The TV service is expected to launch globally, an ambitious move to rival services from Netflix Inc and Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video. Apple's App Store, where the service is likely to be distributed, is now available in more than 100 countries.

Rumour has it that the service will combine original content and existing third-party subscription services. The rumours mentioned that the company might focus on services. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple has invested over a billion dollars to produce shows for its video-streaming services. Apple's new shows are planned to be released "later in the year at the earliest", and it's possible that the company is also holding back some content that's already ready in order to release it on the more typical fall schedule that TV audiences have become accustomed to.

Rumors suggest that Apple will pitch its video and magazine services as separate entities with separate prices, but it could offer a bundle that offers, say, both services and an Apple Music sub at a cheaper price.
