Ravens adding former Saints running back Mark Ingram

The Ravens agreed to a deal with former Saints running back Mark Ingram according to Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter of ESPN

"Ingram signed for three years and $15, while Thomas signed for four years and $55 million", according to Fox Sports.

Thomas made six Pro Bowls while with the Seahawks, who drafted him with the number 14 overall pick out of Texas in 2010, the second pick of the Pete Carroll/John Schneider era, and was a first team All-Pro pick three times.

The New Orleans Saints for the last two seasons had Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara share rushing duties from out of the backfield. Adding Ingram would complete one of the biggest days of player acquisition in the recent history of the Packers. Former Ravens inside linebacker C.J. Mosley and edge rushers Terrell Suggs and Za'Darius agreed to sign lucrative free agent deals elsewhere earlier this week, sapping Baltimore's defense of significant production and leadership. The Ravens' verbal agreement with Thomas on what is a. Negotiations between the sides reportedly broke down leading up to the league's legal tampering period, though, prompting New Orleans to reach a deal with former Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray on Monday.

For his career, Ingram has rushed for 6,007 yards and 50 touchdowns, and caught 228 passes for 1,590 yards and five TDs.

Ingram run with a similar style as Edwards and Dixon, who remain under contract for 2019.

"Over $30 million guaranteed, that's a deal that the Seahawks frankly were never going to do", Huard said.

The 29-year-old Thomas formed a formidable secondary alongside Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell, Brandon Browner and Kam Chancellor that took the Seahawks to two Super Bowls and victory in Super Bowl XLVIII. "We'll miss him, but many of us will always consider him a Raven".
